The Basis Audio 2500Signature turntable is positioned at the mid-high level of Basis range of Signature turntables. Do not underestimate it because of its clean-cut, rack friendly size and none of that over the top “oil rig” build. The Basis 2500 Signature was designed backed by many years of research and development. The 2500 Signature benefited immensely from the finished work of the higher models - Debut model which incidentally shared the identical motor system, platters and bearing. The 2500 Signature turntable wouldn’t be possible at this price without the on-going concurrent production of the Debut series.
Other advance Basis technologies that are common in the Signature series include - suspension system (Resonance Annihilators), isolation system (Calibrator Base), most speed-stable AC motor, advance subchassis design, superbly quiet, accurate and stable bearing and platter system. The 2500 Signature turntable is highly musical, accurate (never clinical), dynamic and with loads of PRaT. It mates very well Basis Audio’s very own Vector tonearm and with the award winning Graham tonearm. The performance of this turntable can be elevated to the next advance level with the purchase of the Vacuum Hold-down system and separate power supply for the AC motor called Syncro-Wave Power Supply.
